Vinicius Cardoso Garcia is an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR at the Centro de Informática [CIN] of the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco [UFPE] and an ASSOCIATE RESEARCHER (PDTI-1) at THE DIGITAL STRATEGY COMPANY [TDSC] and at the National Institute of Science and Technology in Software Engineering [INES, https://www.ines.org.br]. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Salvador (2000), a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (2005), and a doctorate from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2010). He worked as a software engineer, specializing in software reuse, at the Center for Advanced Studies and Systems in Recife [CESAR] from 2005 to 2010. He was an ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST at USTORE (2013 to 2020), SENIOR RESEARCHER at RiSE Labs (2008 to 2014), VISITING RESEARCHER at the University of Mannheim in 2006, and ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR at CESAR.SCHOOL from 2007 to 2015. He holds a PhD in software engineering with practical experience in the architecture of complex and large-scale systems, data-driven systems and architectures, digital strategies, innovation, education, creativity, and entrepreneurship, and since 2010 has been working as a researcher in partnerships and collaborations with startups, small and medium-sized enterprises in Porto Digital.
