Name:Leuson Da Silva
Bio:

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Polytechnique Montréal. My research lies in Software Engineering, with a focus on understanding and improving how developers build, maintain, and evolve modern software systems. My current work investigates the intersection of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, including AI for Software Engineering, Software Engineering for AI, and the use of Large Language Models in software development. I study how AI-based tools affect developer practices, code quality, code review, software maintenance, and the reliability of generated or AI-assisted software.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil, where I continue to collaborate with the Software Productivity Group. My doctoral research focused on detecting, understanding, and resolving code integration conflicts, particularly build and test conflicts. More broadly, my research interests include Empirical Software Engineering, Mining Software Repositories, Collaborative Software Development, Software Evolution, AI4SE, SE4AI, and Large Language Models.
