Name:Andrea Stocco
Bio:

My research focuses on the intersection of software engineering (SE) and artificial intelligence (AI), leveraging empirical methods to address practical challenges.

In the context of SE4AI, my current interests include testing complex AI-enabled systems, such as autonomous vehicles. Ongoing projects explore automated test generation using search-based optimization techniques, failure prediction, and the transferability of testing outcomes from simulated environments to real-world platforms.

Regarding AI4SE, I have worked on various aspects of regression testing, including test suite minimization and enhancing the robustness and maintainability of end-to-end test suites for web applications. This includes detecting and repairing web test breakages using computer vision techniques. Presently, my projects include test generation with generative AI methods, automated code translation, vulnerability detection using large language models (LLMs), and testing LLM-based systems, such as conversational agents.
